Psych-Out! Friday, April 27th

Hey Everybody!

Just a reminder that in less than two weeks, Evil Film School will be back. And we're finally going to show BJ Lang Presents, which if you recall was supposed to be shown a year ago except that my supplier for that film let me down. But I have a new supplier, and the film in hand, so everything is a go!

Doors 7pm, Admission $5 - $10

7:30pm - BJ Lang Presents [1971]: His glory days behind him, Mickey Rooney stars as a Hollywood make-up man/wannabe actor turned kidnapper. Acid influenced acting at its finest.

9pm - Can Hieronymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness? [1969]: Anthony Newly's epic vanity project. If you liked Myra Breckinridge, you'll love this!

Hope to see you there!

Thank You!!

Thanks to everybody who showed up on Friday for Blaxploitation II. Lemme know if you'd like to see Blaxploitation III, I know there's lots more great films out there that I could show...

Also thanks to Bob Mangeldorf & the Vancouver Courier for the shout out last week.

Hopefully we'll be able to get lots more of you out for April's program:

Friday, April 27th
Psych-Out!
7:30pm: BJ Lang Presents aka The Manipulator [1971] - Mickey Rooney is an old Hollywood make-up man/frustrated actor who loses it and kidnaps a women so he can subject her to his special brand of "acting". Much scenery chewing ensues...
9:15pm: Can Hieromynus Merkin Ever Foget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness? [1969] - Written, directed by and starring Anthony Newly (who, you say?), it also stars Joan Collins as "Polyester Poontang". Regarded by some as one of the worst examples of self-indulgent '60's filmmaking.

Oh, and we're doing another Shatner double bill in May!

Hope to see you soon!
